What is a romany gypsy/traveller ?

Daforce is right. I'm an American living in the Czech Republic, and I can only tell you that the Czech work for Roma translates into something like: 'dirty'. They are absolutely hated here. I haven't had a single problem with them myself, and in fact I've gotten to know a couple and they are very, very fearful of non-Romas. But non-Romas hate them. They do steal, but why? Because those in power won't give them a chance? I don't know as the problem has been around for a long while.
