Is Global Warming our New God?

Anthropologists say that man creates gods to explain the mysteries of life and to attempt to control what they have no power over. For example: Primitives have many Gods- for they have much ignorance- fear of thunder, floods, disease that they have no control over, so they create gods they seek to mollify and control. So... is Global Warming our new God? Is our fear of the future so great we must create a god? Science has pretty much proven over the last few years that it is an invalid and empty theory (see Journal of Geophysics). The climate talks are collapsing because there is no reason for them- at least no reason that can be measured or explained. Yet, people follow the High Priest Gore and seek to sacrifice to this god in order to appease its anger. Whole national economies are being placed on the climate change altar. Is there any difference between Global Warming and the golden calf built by Aaron in defiance of God? If you're not a Christian (that supplants the fear of death), what god do you worship and what fear motivates you to do so?
