Should I make you pay for my health?

Im in England so the concept of a national health system is quite normal to me. Its not so much the moral side of "should others pay?" we look at but the fact that the service is sometimes not to the quality expected. I guess we all just sort of ume if we didn't pay for the nhs we would only be forced to pay for something else by the government so we may as well pay for something we get to use on occasion.
