Yu-gi-oh tcg question regarding Emissary of the Oasis and Ring of Magnetism?

Was curious if you had Emissary of the Oasis (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Emissary_of_the_Oasis) and a normal level 3 or lower monster on the field. Then equipped Emissary of the Oasis with Ring of Magnetism (http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ring_of_Magnetism), would your opponent be unable to attack until Ring of Magnetism is destroyed or Emissary of the Oasis is killed via Spell, Trap or monster effect? Cause i was thinking of putting these cards in my deck with some monsters that can attack life points directly but only if that strategy would work.
